Jay Webb San Antonio Concert reviews
Stevie should have opened up for the Pretenders
"Great show, Pretenders opened up. Chrissie sounded great. Just too short. Great song list. Pretenders Rocked!!
Jay Webb comes on, tells us she's tired of doing the same old songs every time. She has chosen a different song set. Her song choices were songs she wrote - but guess what, they were never very popular. It was kind of cool that she took the chance with this song list. Unfortunately, it was on my dime. Save that crap for a free concert in Central Park. I didn't pay good money for her to sing some old slow songs from '73. Save it for the TV special honey. Told us stories between songs. It was interesting to a point, too many stories without a point is my point.
Funniest part was when Jay had a senior moment introducing her band. After telling the crowd how wonderful the piano player is and how he is in one with her and the songs she wrote - she forgot his name. She did remember it then (or someone reminded her). This one is for you Daryl Smith - you will never be forgotten.
Jay did do a lot of her hits and she did put on a long concert. Overall it was OK. I wouldn't see her again unless it was Fleetwood Mac."
